EndoShunt is a minimally invasive tool to shunt blood through an injured vessel while maintaining blood flow to the rest of the body.

MIIST Therapeutics is developing a combination drug for the treatment of smoking addiction. This novel treatment comprises the delivery of inhaled nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) through a proprietary handheld smart inhaler.

Madernity
Madernity offers virtual pelvic floor therapy programs with comparable efficacy to in‑person services. Because we use computer vision and pose estimation algorithms to provide real-time feedback and posture correction without 1‑on‑1 supervision from PTs, we’re providing the first solution for comprehensive pelvic health that can actually scale to meet demand. We are currently targeting new moms looking for access to postpartum pelvic floor therapy for treating birth-related injuries and pelvic floor dysfunction, though we'd like to be able to provide our solution as a preventative care option for expecting moms as soon as they find out they're pregnant.

The company’s technology was developed at Texas Medical Center and combines sonar hardware with AI software.

Augment is developing an IoT bladder management system that noninvasively monitors bladder fullness and sends a smartphone notification when the user should use the bathroom.

Corveus Medical’s (Houston, TX) mission is to help patients with advanced heart failure, a debilitating disease that causes respiratory symptoms, increased hospitalizations, and a huge cost burden in the United States. In recognizing increased cardiac pressures as a key driver of symptoms, Caridian has created a patent-pending catheter-based device that will equip cardiologists to treat heart failure. With improved symptoms, patients will have an improved quality of life and cardiologists will have another treatment modality.

TonoTech is developing a new device that uses machine learning to measure eye pressure more accurately and conveniently than the current gold standard. Eye pressure measurements are crucial to the diagnosis and management of glaucoma, the most common cause of irreversible blindness. TonoTech's handheld device automates and simplifies eye pressure measurements, improving clinical efficiency and generating more reliable measurements that can improve treatment decisions.

Azimuth Sleep Solutions is a medical device manufacturer offering a solution to eradicate obstructive sleep apnea. The company has created a patent-pending CPAPmask that is personalized to fit individual patients’ teeth and noses.
Recently, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the company took a pivot to develop their new patent-pending PortPatch, a disposable N99-rated filter that allows CPAP and BiPAP to be used more safely in patient care settings. Azimuth Sleep Solutions has been granted FDA Emergency Use Authorization for this product.

A wearable electrical muscle stimulation device used to supplement anticoagulants in DVT prevention. By stimulating the muscles in a way that causes muscle contractions, FlexSpark also decreases the rate of muscle atrophy that occurs in this patient demographic, that often has limited mobility.

Diabetes is a global epidemic that affects almost 400 Million people worldwide and costs the US economy alone almost $250 Billion a year. To properly manage this disease, diabetics need to test their glucose levels several times a day. But the current testing method is inconvenient, painful and expensive. GlucosAlarm is a patent pending glucose sensor that measures sugar levels in urine. The device is placed inside the toilet and it is activated through a smartphone application. It´s easy to use, painless and inexpensive. It fits seamlessly into a patient’s daily routine, allowing the patients to manage their condition, rather than just dealing with its complications.

Each year, some 25 million children visit the emergency room, but 85% of infant visits are classified as non emergencies, and represent an unnecessary burden to the healthcare system. Baby Vitals is a portable mhealth vital measurement device that enables anyone, anywhere to conduct a one minute automated respiratory and rapid vitals exam on a child. The device then delivers these metrics to the pediatrician to enable an immediate remote diagnosis. BabyVitals helps to take the guesswork out of assessing the need for urgent care by providing an accurate snapshot of the child’s condition. The problem of patients ripping out their IV lines costs US Hospitals over 150 Million dollars every year. To combat this problem, Lineus Medical has introduced the SafeBreak, a two piece ‘break-away’ adapter that creates a sealed liquid connection between the patient’s access site and the IV tubing. When subjected to a given threshold of tension the device simply separates, sealing off the IV fluid on one side, and preserving the IV site on the other. No blood, no mess. Safe Break improves the patient experience, mitigates risk of infection, and reduces the hospital’s overall cost of care.
